BRANDING, PRINT, AND DIGITAL DESIGN
In spring 2019, I was tasked with branding Pop Conference 2019. Pop Con is an annual pop music conference for academics and music fans, and this year’s topic was death and afterlife in music:
For the 2019 Pop Conference, we explore the many ways music reflects and expresses the realities of the end and the possibilities of rebirth.
For this project, I chose a dark but vibrant color palette to add an ominous atmosphere to the event. I used abstracted, backlit figures and a guitar on fire as a symbol of death and rebirth. Finally, I added skulls and bones as detail elements on the page. The result is a moody, smoky look that illustrates the dark and light themes of the event.
