Bellingham Beer Guide

BRANDING, UI DESIGN, INFOGRAPHICS, PHOTOGRAPHY

There are more than 12 breweries in Bellingham, WA, and many bars do not serve domestic staple beers. In this project, we hope to make the process of choosing a brewery and beer more straightforward.

To do this, we created an interactive beer map intended for the newly 21’s and/or the generally uninformed. The map not only helps navigate Bellingham’s breweries by location, but also includes information about types of beers and their flavors.

First, the map will help the user choose and locate a brewery. Once they make it to the brewery, the back of the map has descriptions of beer types, flavor profiles, and a short rundown of the brewing process. In addition to this, each of the 6 participating breweries will be competing for 6 different awards that are sponsored by the Bellingham board of tourism.

This map was designed to get people off their phones and get them talking to each other.

This was a collaborative project I worked on with Olin Nespor, Jacob Tobey, and Jake Stoumbos. I was responsible for designing the map and brewery information, and for the photography.
